Frequently Asked Questions.

I’d like a new driveway, what’s the next step?

Contact us today to arrange a free no obligation site assessment and quote for your new driveway - call 0113 232 0808 or email us. We will measure the area, show you examples of the types of designs available and provide a free quotation based on your chosen design.

How long will it take to construct my new driveway?

A standard size driveway to a semi detached house will take 3-4 days. We will provide an accurate estimate once we have assessed the site.

Will there be a lot of mess and disruption?

No, we are one of the cleanest companies undertaking this type of work. All excavations/rubble etc goes straight onto our wagon and away to the tip. All hardcore and sand is delivered on our own wagons. No excavated material, hardcore or sand is tipped outside your property eliminating hazards to the general public, where footpaths and roads can be obstructed.

Do I need to be in while you are working on my drive?

No, we can complete all work whilst you are out.

How do you dispose of my old driveway surface?

Our wagons take away all excavations to the landfill or recycling centre.

Will there be a skip outside my house?

No skips are used, therefore no skips left for days or weeks outside your property. All material is removed by our own vehicles.

How do you prepare the ground?

All driveways are excavated by machine to correct depth to suit the site and ground conditions. Ministry of Transport type 1 hardcore is laid, rolled and compacted with vibrating roller to form sub base to correct levels.

What are the advantages of a new driveway?

A new driveway will enhance the visual aspect of your property, making it more attractive as well as practical. A new driveway will also be safer than an uneven old drive with trip hazards where you could be sued if someone trips and injures themselves on your property.

How long before I can walk or drive my car over the drive?

Virtually straight away after completion.

What about drainage?

There is currently legislation that applies to surface water drainage from paved areas around your property. We have attended Marshalls courses regarding sustainable urban drainage systems and have certification. We can advise on the most appropriate solutions that are best suited to the paved surfaces of your property. For more information regarding drainage legislation visit our Drainage Regulation page.

Will my neighbours be affected?

Inconvenience is kept to a minimum as a result of our polite workforce and our clean and responsible working practices.
